Title: Theatre [7/12/12]
Fandom: Final Fantasy IX
Pairing: Kuja x Zidane.
Rating: T
Warnings: Creepy!Kuja is creepy. Technical incest. One male perving on another.
Summary: Years after abandoning his brother-replacement, he rediscovers him in the last place he’d ever think to look.
Notes: I have a headache. I wonder why /sarcasm. Allow me to gush over this pairing <3. Set Pre-game, but pretending that Zidane is a few years older than he’s believed to be, just so I don’t scream… My Kuja-voice remains as creepy and disturbing as ever *shudder*.
For Fire. Who has talked me into so many fics with this pair. I swear I’ll update Lost Angels of Hearts soon/
Prompt: First Meetings
In the years since he had dropped the child off in the wilderness of the mist continent, he hadn’t given his replacement a single thought. In his mind, the matter was done with. The boy would be eaten by monsters before he matured, and would never trouble him again, leaving him free to make the world dance to his flute, the death screams of the world his accompaniment.
However, when he saw that actor on stage, with genome litheness mixed with a thief’s grace, he couldn’t help but remember the child he had abandoned, wondering if he would have been this quick, this delicate. If he would have been this flawless, gracefully whirling about the stage as if he owned it.
It made him think of what might have been. If he had taken the boy to raise instead of abandoning him, had trained him right, to serve him as it should have been. He allowed himself a moment to imagine what it might have been like to have something like that actor waiting on him hand and foot, serving his every need before he even knew he needed it as he watched him, eyes drifting up and down his form, taking in every bit of flesh that could be glimpsed.
It would have been nice, he thought with a smirk, wondering if Tantalus would allow him to make an offer for him, before recalling that Baku had some strange quirks for the leader of an acting troupe. How unfortunate. It wasn’t worth the trouble he would be worth if he kidnapped him, Tantalus was known well known for its underground connections.
He would watch, and wait. Surely one as pretty as this would make a mistake, would make himself available, for a price. His lips curled up as he watched, catching a flash of bare leg as the actor shifted, costume swirling, eyes widening as he caught the unmistakable swish of a tail beneath the skirt.
That was just…
Perfect.
