Title: Chaos’s Merry Month of Molestation –Round II-: May 1st, Lux-Pain, Liu Yee/Atsuki

Summary: Just a drabble on my view of their partnership.
A/N: This is a fairly recent obsession, but the game –despite its flaws- is incredibly addicting and the characters are much more interesting that they should be. Before I got Soul Silver and Heart Gold –damn my pokemon obsession-, it had only left my DS once since I had bought it in January. I highly recommend it, especially since it is rather cheap <3. This pairing is rather popular with the ‘kids’ and I would love to do more with it to change the childlike way it is portrayed, but unfortunately I will have to use only this short drabble to convey what I’d like. Even though I find it rather crappily done.

Neither Liu or Atsuki ever tried to put their relationship into words. It was far too complicated to be labeled with one single word. They relied on each other, watched each other’s backs, cared for each other when no one else would. The other was the only person in the whole wide world who had witnessed first hand the things they had. When dealing with Silent, the darkest part of humanity, the twisted thoughts, murderous desires of all of mankind, one began to slowly lose their own sanity as well unless they had something to keep them out of it.
They were the only active telepaths at Fort, Natsuki’s ability being basically useless for anything other than tracking and detection. Liu was the only one Atsuki could really count on to have his back if a Silent infectee went wrong, and Atsuki was the only one Liu could count on when it all went to hell, and it had many times more than any living person should have been through. But that was what being part of Fort, at least for these particular Lux-Pain bearers, was about.
Destroying Silent, standing up against impossible odds, then having the entirety of the world forget about them. They were the only ones who would remember the particulars of their deeds, the exact actions that had taken them up to that point, who they had killed, who they had erased, who they had saved. It was in their hands, and they could only rely on the other to back them up, because the others were... powerless, informationless and flat, incapable of understanding the desire that drove them.
The desire to erase Silent so that there would be no more victims, no more villains, no more heroes. Only peace within their world. Even if it took their lives and beyond.
