Or rather, disappeared together. Auron had been dead for almost as long as Tidus had been alive, and Tidus.... had never existed in this plane in the first place. He was only a dream, not even the barest wisp of a memory.
It was ironic really. Auron had done many things, including die, for a dream while Tidus was one.
And they say dreams don’t come true.
