I really, really, really want to write some things, which means I'm finally over whatever's been bothering me about posting my writing where people can see me -I hope- for ages and also means that my writer's block is over with.
I guess I found my motivation, go me <3. -Or not, I'll say this when I'm still working at it in a month-.
So, I'm going to plot out my fic ideas here, then decide which one I'm going to write, because discussing things with myself is usually the best way to do things but also sharing those things is nice...
I'm going to stop babbling now and get to the point.
First off, I would really like to write a Gundam Wing/X1999 crossover fic, using the family reconstruction act that's so prevalent in HP/GW fics. What I want to do is link one of the G-Boys to one of the Dragons. Post-series, for both of them. Good!Ending for X where Kamui is alive -set a few years afterward of course-, Manga!verse because everything else is just too goddarn sad. Not sure who I want related to who -I'd prefer just one of the cast to have a relation to the other-. I'm also kind of tempted to throw in Sakurazuka!Kamui -as in, Seishirou's son-, because I kind of like torturing Subaru and Kamui like that and it makes sense to me. Pairings will most likely be Subaru/Kamui, with implied past Subaru/Seishirou. I'm not really sure what I'll be doing with this, but I like the idea of both sides trying to hide secrets while getting along as a family....
I think I'll start sketching out a rough draft after I finish this.
Second, Arc the lad snapshots from both brothers, how they view things, etc. Serious stuff, as opposed to what I normally write for these two, exploring the post/end-game world and how they view it. I just want to write some brotherly bonding, not necessarily smut, and world-building. Also character building. And just building.
third, Arc again, AU version of the end-game world, starting from where Lilia steps up to seal the Lord of the Dark Abyss only instead of the spirits saying 'lol, you dumb idiots keep reviving him, so we're just going to leave you alone until you wipe out the deimos', because really? The only advantage the deimos have over the humans is their magic. It seems to me that, civilization wise, they're barely above hunter-gatherer level, if that. Discounting the coleopt and the drakyr, there doesn't seem to be any organization or discipline other than I'm stronger than you so follow me. So yes, world-building because hey, peace needs to be negotiated or within a couple centuries, this is going to happen all over again. Brotherly bonding as they force their two races to make nice. Featuring Commander!Kharg and Emperor!Darc.
Fourth, which will definitely get written despite everything. Dragon Age origins Male!Surana and Zevran. Chronicling the tales Blood magic is stupid, let's just set them on fire and go on with it Alaric and how he most certainly did not die fighting the archdemon because there is a difference between consorting with demons and power and also shut up he really likes dragons and it seems such a waste so Alistair shut your goddarn mouth and put your privates in Morrigan because ewww women.
.... The above sentence was meant sarcastically in some spots, but you get his tone and meaning <3.
