Title: Hero
Fandom: Legend of Legaia
Pairing: None <3.
Rating: K
Warnings: Spoilers.
Summary: Vahn reflects on Drake’s castle, and what it took to get there.
Notes: I love this game so much. So, so very much.
The mist surrounded him on all sides as he walked through the empty halls of what had once been –and will be- Drake Castle, deadening all sound, obscuring his vision. All of his life, he had been raised to fear the mist and the seru it brought with it, his one encounter with it before this whole quest-thing had been… horrendous and traumatizing. Now, however, with a ra-seru on his arm, whispering into his mind, it wasn’t something to be feared.
It was something to be fought. It was something that could be fought, defended against. With this ra-seru, something that still sent chills running up his spine whenever he thought too deeply on it, he would save the world. Or so Meta said.
If he was being honest, and he couldn’t be, not with Meta always whispering, telling him to focus on the more noble goal, telling him to focus on the world, the needs of the many, not the few, he would rather save just Rim Elm, just the people he knew and cared about. Just the people that had survived.
The world was just too much.
But he would try anyway.
For all the lives he could save, would not matter as much to him as the one he couldn’t.
