"We'te the same, he and I. There are things that no one knows about either of us, and neither one of us dares speak of”, Kharg stated, deliberately not looking at Paulette as he spoke. His eyes were fixated on some point just outside the window of his house. She knew without even turning her head that he was watching Darc, like he always had been since the moment that he had met his brother.
“I could try and understand.” Lowering her eyes to the floor, she spoke softly, not daring to look into his eyes and see his rejection. She did not want to feel the pain, but then, it was almost deserved. She had rejected him once, and since then, things had never been right between them. They used to be so close, telling each other everything. She really missed that.
“No Paulette.” He said sternly, startling her into looking in his eyes. An image flashed in front of her eyes, him reaching out towards her, huge wings protruding from his back. She flinched as if he had slapped her.
“You can’t.” Kharg stated softly, walking out the door, out of her house and away from everything he had pretended to be.
Prompt: "And is this just for me, or should I offer to share?",
"And is this just for me”, Kharg teased, pulling a big bag of candy out of the bag of groceries “Or should I offer to share?" His eyes danced mischievously as he glanced at Darc, opening the sack and pulling out one of the sugary snacks. Darc watched him, red eyes trained on the small sphere in Kharg’s hand as he popped it into his mouth.
Suddenly, before Kharg was even aware that his brother had moved, Darc was on top of him. Lips pressed against his as tongues battled over the piece of candy in his mouth. After a couple minutes, they sat back up, Darc wearing a smug grin as he crunched the small object into pieces and Kharg pouting.
“That’s completely unfair.” The blonde muttered, crossing his arms before reaching for another piece, which started the entire affair all over again.
Ahahahahaha, writing these two has definitely become easier.
