I get talked into writing the weirdest things.
Title: The Question.
Fandom: [Dot]Hack\\G.U
Pairing: Mainly Doppelganger/Haseo, but with some implied Kuhn/Haseo, and Kuhn/every moving target too~.
Rating: T
Warnings: Implied Boy love, unwilling molestation and *gasps* not real sex.
Summary:
It was only supposed to be a quick and simple solo run-through of a low level field to stock up on enough items to keep Gaspard happy -and more importantly, quiet- for a week or so, but, of course, when one's username is Haseo, things are never quite as easy as they should be.
A/N: You know who you are and you know what you did. You better enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it <3. Going up on FF.N in the morning. Also, why did I not have a crack tag until now?
It was only supposed to be a quick and simple solo run-through of a low level field to stock up on enough items to keep Gaspard happy -and more importantly, quiet- for a week or so, but, of course, when one's username is Haseo, things are never quite as easy as they should be. He had cleared out all the monsters on the map and was making one last run through of the area to make sure he had not missed anything when the Doppelganger had appeared. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but it had appeared right in front of the only bridge leading off the island he was currently on, and there wasn't a warp gate there either, nor did he have any items that would enable him to escape the field, or the fight.
To put it simply, he was screwed. If he didn't get the items back to Silabus -who would then run them to Gaspard, saving him the trouble of going all the way back to the @home- soon, the green clad player would make him feel guilty and pathetic for not being able to clear a level 100 field at level 149 within a reasonable amount of time. Of course, if the doppelganger managed to kill him -which was almost a certainty at this point, as he had placed anything that might remotely be useful in storage to have more room for Gaspard's items-, Silabus would outright mock him -albeit, fondly, but Haseo still could not stand being mocked- for being killed on a level 100 field. Either way, he was going to get mocked, so he had better step up and bear it. His pride would ache, and his experience would probably go down, but it was better than the alternative. Silabus had a habit of remembering the worst things at the most inopportune times, better to die in the line of duty, than to be late because of cowardice.
Gritting his teeth, Haseo reluctantly guided his character into the doppelganger's line of sight, a chill running down the spine as the music changed and the yellow eyes of his darker twin focused on him, the camera making sure too zoom in as the creature –if it was a creature- approached. The hair on his arms raised as his doppelganger grinned, the familiar light of a battle-area raising around them. Something was off about this entire situation, and he honestly hoped this was not some glitch in the system. Shrugging it from his mind, he prepared for the attack, only to be stopped by his dark copy wrapping its hands around his wrists before he could even press the button to ready an attack.
With a sudden, sinking feeling, he recognized the grin currently adorning his mirror images lips. It was the self-satisfied smirk Kuhn usually wore when he was about to do things that Haseo would certainly not approve of. Usually involving his hands and Haseo's –or Endurance's, or Silabus's, or whoever was closest, Kuhn was not exactly picky- body.
"Why does this always happen to me?" Haseo groaned, not even attempting to fight The World's programming any longer, as his weapons were none to gently stripped from him, quickly followed by his armor clunking to the ground. Really, why did he bother putting his armor back on, as soon as he got everything back into place, someone came along to take it off again.
